Bring back desktop / website meal tracking
While the app is great, it is still easier to enter in food on the desktop sometimes. It's especially useful at work when I have some downtime and it's not polite to use my phone. I know the desktop tracking will be discontinued in November, and this is a vote to keep it alive longer. Maybe it doesn't have to be so heavy and could be just a replication of the app?

It can be a lot easier to log and do things like recipes from a PC, and it would be great to have all nutrition info accessible from any device.

I have a question for @Fredrik Johansson (Necromancer) who just posted, how do you get google play app on windows? I only see google play GAMES for windows but not google play in general. Are you meaning an Android phone emulator? Those always seem to be really janky to me.

I love for this to be an option, I wish more apps had a desktop version. I do much of my work on PC.
There is an solution for now, that is google play app on Windows, allowing to run apps through it, similar to a mobile link.

Cor the most tone deaf app team. Ability to manage meal and foods via a desktop app would make the app far less cumbersome experience.

This is what happens when your customers' voice is NOT being heard. 12 MONTHS since my first comment on this an nothing is done on your side. Thousands of comments on this topic and nothing. Emails sent to you guys and still completely ignored. You don't deserve my money. Good luck with your product

And when I say that I mean that we pay for this service and yet other people offer meal logging for free and allow desktop logging. Hire more web developers or outsource the build.

Why is this not a feature? We understand it takes time to develop but it feels lazy and that you don’t care.

Would like to see all data on my computer therefore on the web. Deffinitely switching to Cronometer

I just joined after reading on the website that you *can* use it on the web. I came on, had to pay to join, and THEN find out that you can only add food on the app? I'm very disappointed as the whole reason for getting this account was to be able to log on the web...now to find out it was disabled in 2016??? It's 2023, why would it say that it is cross-platform, including the web, if it isn't?

Why has this not been addressed or fixed???

Bumping this up, I really need this to track my day faster on my laptop. Every other calorie counting app has this feature. not sure why they stopped supporting this.

4 months later, I can see that my last comment was left unheard and un-followed. Not only will I not renew my subscription with you guys but I will also spread bad words about your complete absence when it comes to do a follow up to customers' feature request. Thanks for not listening to approximately 5000 votes on this specific feature request.

4475 votes and counting... how it's possible that you don't have any desktop solution yet?

I 100% agree! I really like the Lifesum app and it has been a big help so far. The one issue I have is adding foods and meals. For the foods/meals I have already used, it is easy to use that again. My problem is when adding a new food or meal group. There are a lot of choices but very few of them seem to be exactly what I need and adding the nutritional information by hand on a phone or tablet is a bit of a mess. It would be nice to have the ability to access our diary via the web on a laptop or desktop computer. Not necessarily to add to our diaries but more to add the food or meals and tweak the nutritional facts so that they are more inline with what we are consuming. Being able to do this on my laptop would be so much easier and would make using the app so much better.

Being able to enter data from the web or a desktop app is super important to me. The app is handy on the go, but it would be so much easier to add new food items and catch up on tracking from the computer.

This is very important: many work environments don't allow us to be close to our phones during working ours. It's... contrasensual do write it down in paper to later upload to the phone.

Any update from a rep on this feature? Is it even under consideration for your dev team?

Estou procurando um bom contador de calorias em versão web para assinar um plano. Se alguém conhecer, por favor me indique. Se o Lifesum um dia tiver uma versão web, por favor me informe.

I have already sent you guys an email asking for exactly the very same feature. I paid for the premium account and I intend to keep it. This, however, will be my only condition to continue with my subscription (and to spread good words about your product). Thanks in advance.

I don't think I'll be renewing my subscription without this feature. As I've gotten deeper into tracking food I see how much easier it is to build recipes and meal plan on desktop. I have my notes app and recipes pulled up on my laptop, it would be great to have Lifesum there as well.
You already had the means to do this before, why not bring it back? I don't think we're even asking for a desktop app specifically, just a web tracker. It's a pity because I prefer the design of your app but that's where it ends. Cronometer is a less pleasant visual experience but it brings much more value for diverse use cases. I'll be switching to their paid subscription once yours runs out.
