Being able to correct incorrect items in the food database yourself
Currently the user can just edit the items under My Things he/she created himself/herself but it would be very helpful if you could correct also incorrect items of other users in the database instead of just reporting it.
Hey users!
I can gladly inform that since the latest version of the app which is 5.5.0 out on App Store (or 3.4.15 for Android users on Google Play) we’ve improved the Edit Food flow which gives you users the access to correct incorrect items!
Please try it out and let us know what you think.
Best regards,
Sebastian.

Agree nice to have but also see the mentioned point of the same item might have different values in different countries. Or the supermarket(chain) changes the supplier) and the values change next time one buys it. So suspect reporting to Lifesum might be the better option to avoid items are changed constantly forward and back, leading to even more confusion. However, some feedback would be helpful. Also agree enabling users to send proof of values in form of a photo attachment will be useful, also enabling Lifesum to verify data.

I just entreen something wrong. Couldnt Edit, couldnt delete, entreen new one, but got stopped because it already existed (with wrong values) had to enter something with fake name to get it in. Got pissed off in the process.

The "Report Food Item" feature could also be improved, so as to make it easier for users to report incorrect data. For example, "Incorrect Spelling/Title" could be pre-filled with the existing title and a prompt for "Corrected Spelling/Title", instead of just "Suggestion", "Wrong Nutritional Information" could be pre-filled with the titles of all of the different parameters, instead of just "Suggestion", and so on. Also, it would be more useful if you could post images into the report. I found an item yesterday that had 600-odd grams of carbohydrate per 100g of the food item. I did report all of the actual food values, typed by hand on my iPhone from the back of the packet, but if you make it easy for people to just snap a photo and attach it, then they are more likely to feed back incorrect data.
If we're using Lifesum at all, it means that we are passionate about our health and about what we eat: why not channel that passion by making it easy for us to help to improve the database of the food items that we are offered :-)

I've pretty much resigned myself to adding a new entry when this happens. Could be variations of the same product in different countries I guess?
I went to Nando's today, the database was way off but I know there's Nando's in the UK too (I'm in Australia.)

There is already the "report item" button that appears when you scan an item but don't yet add it to your diary, though I don't know how quickly the reports get acted upon. Items that I reported months ago still come up incorrectly when I scan the same item again.
I think that this request may be a duplicate of an existing point, but needed all the same.
