Show net carbs
It would be nice if in the LCHF diet plan specifically, it could show net carbs (carbs - dietary fiber) rather than all carbs. Or have a toggle option so someone can turn that on/off as they like. This would be helpful for those following the ketogenic lifestyle.
1,336 votesThe net carbs option has just been released both on iOS and Android. Thank you very much for your patience and your votes!

Ability to add own recipes, meals, food items
Maybe this already in the app, but I wasn't able to find it. I make a lot of my own food. I would like to be able to enter the recipe or import it from a source and get the nutritionals available for use in the Lifesum diary as food I've consumed.
Thanks!
731 votesThank you very much for reaching out!
You find the option to create your own recipes, meals or/and food items under Me / Favorites in the app.

We are happy to announce that it is now possible to limit recipe suggestions to vegan/vegetarian by doing the Health test in the app. If you add there that you are vegan/vegetarian you will only see relevant recipes in the app. If you have already done the test earlier and would like to have these settings active, please redo the test.
We will now this request and open a new request just for allergies: https://lifesum.uservoice.com/forums/274566-feedback-ideas/suggestions/17099266-please-add-an-option-in-the-app-for-allergies-lac
Please feel free to leave your vote there so we get a feeling for how many users are still interested in such a feature. Thank you!

Add paleo diet
Eating paleo has a different set of specifics than HFLC and standard diets. Adding this to take into account that the calories and all that may be higher, even when losing weight, would make this app more useful to us who eat paleo.
382 votesHi there,
Thank you very much for voting!
You now find the Paleo meal plan when setting your goal to “lose weight”.

Streaks.
Please add streaks. It’s the real downside about using Lifesum over MFP. There’s nothing motivating the user to not miss a day.
338 votesDear Lifesummers,
We are very happy to inform you that this has been implemented in the meantime.
Please see more details below: https://lifesum.helpshift.com/a/lifesum---healthier-eating-better-living/?s=food-exercise-tracking&f=streaks---what-are-they-and-what-can-they-do-for-me---ios&p=all

Add quick-tracking macros (fat, protein, carbs)
Currently, the option to quick-track food is only providing the fields title + kcal
An improvement is to also add fat + protein + carbs for quick tracking when the user has this data available
319 votesHi there,
We are happy to announce that we have implemented the macro quick tracking! :)

Make a meal out what i ate
After i finish entering everything i ate for lunch or dinner, add a feature to create a meal in my favorites out of all the items i logged.
278 votesHi there,
You find that option by clicking into the meal and then top right on the heart icon – you will then be able to create a meal of the food items tracked and save it under Favorites.

Capability to switch food from one meal to another or a whole meal from one day to another
That would be especially useful when mistakes are made with data entry, or when the app misbehaves.
266 votesHello!
We have solved this by having a recents section in every meal tracking. Thank you all for voting!
Kind Regards,

recipe database
could you please finally implement a recipe database where we at least could choose between all "meal suggestions" which are daily shown in the app? just something like weight watchers has, a big recipe database which is growing and fully accessible at least for gold members. that would make planning the daily meals a lot easier instead of looking up recipes on the internet and add them by hand in lifesum. Thank you! :)
149 votesHey everyone,
As we now have a whole tab we’re continuously working on named “Recipes” where you easily can access a whole bunch of recipes and filter them by using tags in the top.
Hope you all like them! Reach back to me if something’s unclear.

Siri Integration
Track your meals via Siri. For example let Siri open the Barcode Scanner. So you could track your meals without even opening the App.
Meals could automatically get categorised (breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) based on the current time (maybe even adjustable settings on this)
So it would work like this:
"Hey Siri, track my meal with Lifesum"
opens barcode scanner
scanning barcode
That's it, I think it could work more or less like this although I'm not familiar with the opportunities Siri's App-Integration offers.136 votesDear Lifesummers,
we have now implemented tracking with Siri – please see the following article in our FAQ for more information:

Being able to correct incorrect items in the food database yourself
Currently the user can just edit the items under My Things he/she created himself/herself but it would be very helpful if you could correct also incorrect items of other users in the database instead of just reporting it.
134 votesHey users!
I can gladly inform that since the latest version of the app which is 5.5.0 out on App Store (or 3.4.15 for Android users on Google Play) we’ve improved the Edit Food flow which gives you users the access to correct incorrect items!
Please try it out and let us know what you think.

Widget for Android
25 users from the Support has requested a widget for Android, which makes sense as we have it on iOS.
118 votesHey everyone,
The widget for Android is finally out. Enjoy!

Manual entry of barcode
Sometimes a barcode might be crumpled or torn, such that the barcode scanner is not able to read it. In such circumstances it would be really good to be able to enter the barcode manually by typing in the numbers.
113 votesWe have improved the overall performance of the scanner both on iOS and Android:
- faster scanning
- option to switch the flash on/off in the scanner window
- if the scanner is unable to recognize a code you can now manually enter the code!
- as requested by many the barcode beeping sound is now history :)
