Replace information stored on barcode
When an item saved to a barcode is incorrect, one should be allowed to replace it with the correct information, verified with a picture of the nutritional information sent to Lifesum.

This is super important ! So many of my favorite foods are way off in the database

I cannot fathom the fact that after 5 years the food database is still awful, and that willing users are barred from correcting them….. I can’t even rename wrong food items.

This feature is absolutely necessary. It gives you the ability to change the info but it is a pain because it won’t adjust the nutrition automatically. It will tell you calories don’t match up and you have to use trial and error to keep fiddling with all the categories until it will allow you to continue. Then it doesn’t save this information for the future. If you aren’t going to allow users to update the linked barcode info in the online database, it needs to allow them to save locally for personal use.

Even as a premium member, it takes sometime for Lifesum to verify the updated version and I have not gone back to see if the updated nutrition information is updated in my diary for all days up until now. The information to be updated in the diary is very much needed!

As I can see you are able to, though it is flawed. I love the idea of users developing the food catalog, and are always ready to do so, but it needs to be easy and quick. I punched in the numbers, and double checked. When I tried to save, it said the calories didn't match up, it should simply match it up by itself. I check all trough again, but it still didn't accept the calories. That kind of problems stop the development!!!
