Automatically sync Active Calories (Apple Watch) to Lifesum Workouts
Lifesum workouts to automatically import Apple Watch Activity calories burned for that day. Currently I manually go in to Activity, see calories burned, go to Lifesum, manually put in and then update through out the day the calories I have used up through walking, running etc from my Apple Watch data.
65 votesHey everyone,
With the new version 4.8.10 we now sync Active calories automatically, hope you will like it and please continue give us feedback or report bugs if it doesn’t work as it should for you.

Scanning food
When a product scan turns out empty it would be easier to have a button that allowed the user to create immediately a custom item instead of going to back to the menu. Right now it just allow to go search and connect to a product already in.
62 votesWe must’ve missed this idea! It has been implemented since quite a while back!

Keto meal plan
A meal plan to match the chosen diet (with a shopping list) should be available with premium. A keto plan is very hard to accomplish in terms of carb intake and the only thing stopping me is the lack of a meal plan that keeps me in my daily range of carbs and calories while getting enough fat. This feature would hopefully search and compile recipes based on matching stats and a shopping list would compile ingredients for a week of groceries (or whatever time frame the user selects).
61 votesHi there,
Thank you for voting!
In the meantime you can find two keto meal plans:
- Keto Burn > https://lifesum.helpshift.com/a/lifesum---healthier-eating-better-living/?s=plans-nutrition&f=keto-burn&l=en
- Keto Maintain > https://lifesum.helpshift.com/a/lifesum---healthier-eating-better-living/?s=plans-nutrition&f=keto-maintain&l=enBest,

KJ to calories
Every nutrition value where I’m from is in calories, it would be a lot easier to track my calories if I could change the format.
Thanks!51 votesYou have the option to change the unit system in your app under Settings/Account Settings/Unit System.
Please choose your preferred option there.

NOTES
I think it would be a great idea to add "notes" to each daily diary so that we may document if we were having a bad day or if we were sick or something come up. Just so we know why we had a good day or a bad day!
42 votesYou find this option in the Diary under the Lifes Circle as follows:

Create food by portion weight
When creating a new food, you specify a portion weight and then add nutritional information per 100g. However, frequently I don't know the nutritional info for 100g, only for the portion, e.g per pack, per bar, etc.) I then have to divide 100 by the pack weight and multiply each value by this amount to work out the values per 100g. It would be much better if Lifesum were to enter calories etc per portion, not just per 100g.
40 votesHey Jacob and Alexander, this is actually available to do as of the latest version out on App Store/Google Play.
When creating a new food item or editing an exisiting food item, as long as you know how much your portion/serving weighs we do the calculation in the serving/portion instead per 100g.
Reach back to me if something is unclear!

Turn off barcode scanner sound.
Please give the option to turn off the barcode scanner beep. It is very loud and annoying.
39 votesWe have improved the overall performance of the scanner both on iOS and Android:
- faster scanning
- option to switch the flash on/off in the scanner window
- if the scanner is unable to recognize a code you can now manually enter the code!
- as requested by many the barcode beeping sound is now history :) -
Add a water widget
It would be nice to have a water widget on the home screen. Instead of having to find my Lifesum app and waiting for it to load, I could have a water widget on my home screen and every time I drink I can just click it. Also, it should have a reminder every hour to drink water.
39 votesHey Jamie,
We’ve implemented a widget that lets you track water among other stuff on Android (which is the client that supports adding widgets to the homescreen, iOS don’t).
Please try it out!

Allow Apple Health to input weight into LifeSum Application.
It would be nice if your application could read my weight/body fat % etc. from Apple Health.

Bring back calendar in Android
It would be very helpful to have the calendar back in Android so can go through the days more easily and not just by swiping from day to day.

Diet plan
What definitely miss to this upp it's a diet plan to follow, as others apps do one you choose the diet there should be a daily/ weekly plan To be followed instead than just few recipes suggestions. I struggle every day trying to figure out what to have exactly as meal!
27 votesThank you very much for reaching out – you find that option now using the Meal Plans offered in our app:
-
The option to view each meal nutrition intake for each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc)
Like - now I see the whole intaka for a day, and if I see the carbs over-intake, i'd like to see which of my meals had way to many carbs, and where I can do better
22 votesThis is now available on both platforms, you can see the nutrition intake for each meal by taping into the meal’s detailed view.

Barcode scanner rotates
I posted this and it was deleted, taken this from my emails. Annoyed it was removed, it's a really valid point.
It's really annoying but using the barcode scanner. I rotate the phone and then the camera changes from portrait to landscape. I have to pick up the food and rotate the box. I can't always do this as the box might be open and I loose some food. Can we have it so that the barcode scanner doesn't rotate at all? Just keep it portrait?
21 votesWe have improved the overall performance of the scanner both on iOS and Android:
- faster scanning
- option to switch the flash on/off in the scanner window
- if the scanner is unable to recognize a code you can now manually enter the code! -
Fruit and veg counter
Have a tracker on the portions of fruit and veg consumed as to see if you are having 5 a day, or more.

Insert Nutritional Information by custom weight, not standard 100g
It's really annoying and not easy to add a new item to the database, since it does not allow to input nutritional information by custom weight whenever the standard serving size is smaller or bigger than 100g I have to multiply/divide the nutritional information which is not always easy and intuitive. I have seen many wrong user inserted item that were not aware that the nutritional information was per 100g and by the serving size that they inputed.
