When creating food, the data entry screen (calories, carbohydrates, proteins, etc.) referring to the food should be based on the portion indicated on the previous screen and not per 100g, since we read the nutrition chart of the portion and not in 100g, at least here in Brazil

so seems there's a bid difference between iOS and Android. customer losing weight by using too much energy when calculating is definitely not your strategy. lol

I should specify that I am on iOS. Is the Android app different? Different apps with different features is the only reason I can think of that so many people think you can only create foods of 100g quantities and have to calculate the other nutrients to that scale. Unless you're using a really really old version of the app?

I am so confused here, you specify the grams per serving when you mke the food so if you have to base it off 100g then you need to put in the correct weight next time. The food entry system is jacked in other ways (like limitations to types of characters you can use in the custom serving and the limited options in the default serving choices) but you then set the grams. Just make everything with custom serving, call it “serving” or “quarter cup” or whatever and then YOU tell it how many grams it is. I just had to test making a food and am looking at the screen right now because I couldn’t believe how many people upvoted this. If you think this is how it works, email me an example and I’ll send you a screen recording of doing it without any 100g nonsense.

This is basically the only point that makes me user rival apps rather than this ones.
Makes absolutely no sense, I need to use a calculator to input information which makes it the slowest app ever and the least convenient.
Every single app out there makes entering data based on the serving/portion not the weight. How many grams in a milk shake? Both screens are screwed, the first one should allow to chose the serving size, and the number of servings in the package (in case of a package), the second screen should allow to input data for the whole or the portion, as that’s what would be reported in the food facts.

Out of my remaining 991 votes on uservoice, I wish I could give ALL of them to this. The app should be calculating the per 100ml or g based on the entered portion size.

Perhaps it is possible with the program to make the sum of food a 100 g reference. And maybe it makes sense to give more rights to the creators of meals / recipes to correct mistakes,

Yes, thank you! This is incredibly frustrating when I want to create new foods (which is pretty much all of them, since I'm in Japan and hardly anything is tracked). It makes no sense to choose 100g instead of serving size. All nutritional information is for serving size.

I agree, and I think many of the inaccuracies in the stored nutrition values we select are based on this inconstancy. I have caught myself entering serving data and then realizing I am supposed to be entering values based on 100g. I assume many make this mistake.

and the application itself should make the calculations for 100g, this will facilitate the creation of food
