Make automatic tracking possible for non-premium users
I don’t see how it is a premium function that one app can interact with another, especially not since it has nothing to do with your service (which is to track kcal etc, not app interaction). I just want to be able to export my kcal to fitbit (as fitbit has a lot of other data which lifesum can never have as lifesum doesn’t have a workout watch that can track bpm/sleep/temperature etc) and I do not want to pay for the Lifesum premium functions unless I know that the integration works properly (which I know it currently doesn’t given other users feedback). When they can be properly integrated - FOR FREE - I will consider paying for Lifesum premium and get the premium functions that are actually related to your service.

Take into account families
I have to cook for my 3 kids, me, and my husband. It’d be nice to take parenting into account in the quiz. I’d love to try the meal plans but I can’t cook two meals for every breakfast, lunch and dinner and I can’t afford to shop for separate meals for me and my family.
I feel like no diet app does this well. You have to sign up and pay and then when you get in and realize that it doesn’t take into account that you have a family and the plans aren’t realistic for parents.
I’m also frustrated that I can’t create my own recipes on the desktop version. It takes so long to enter recipes on my phone. Time I really don’t have. I also hate that I don’t have the option to choose the amount of an ingredient for a recipe. If I’m using a cup and a half of an ingredient, that ingredient will most likely just have teaspoon, tablespoon, or ounce - again, I don’t have time to look up the conversions and also be looking up the recipe - all on my phone. So here are my must haves:
1. Allow users to create and save recipes on the desktop version
2. Allow users to be able to log from the desktop version
3. Be inclusive to users who work and have families -take time and money into account and don’t assume your customers can make separate meals for themselves and their families
4. If I have a vegetable or fruit in my meal - that should automatically log fruits or vegetables- making a user have to log that twice is a little ridiculous and it’s a bit lazy on the part of the app design - again, if it’s a hassle and a time-suck to have to log food and make recipes, logging in this app will not be a lasting habitI have to cook for my 3 kids, me, and my husband. Show maintenance calories and deficit OR option for customizable diet break
Not only show calorie intake for weight loss but also maintenance calories and deficit. Or even better: include an option for customizable diet break where you can eat at maintenance.
If it only shows how many calories I can eat, I don't understand what my maintenance would be and what my calorie deficit is.

Curtains for ‘Food’, ‘meals’ and ‘ recipe‘.
When you register your meal and already have it saved as a favorite. You have to scroll past all your favorites ‘foods’ to even get to ‘meals’. It would be convenient to open and close the different headlines as a curtain so you can easily access the’ foods’, ‘meals’ and ‘recipe’ without scrolling past everything you’ve favored over the years.
Thanks!

Vegan/vegetarian meal plan
It would be great to have more meal plans options for vegan/vegetarians... For example a lose weight in 3 weeks vegan edition or a vegan keto.

I would like to create my own meal plan/diet
Please, make it available for users to create their own meal plan. I can’t believe this feature still isn’t available.
I don't mean changing my macros/etc. We want to use our own recipes, our own meals that we're used to in our own cultures/families/countries.
I don’t want to use the predetermined diets on the app. Don’t just assume that we all eat the same things or that everything is available for everyone everywhere.
I want to be able to meal prep and have my grocery list and build my own meal plan with the things I want but this isn’t available and, after more than 2 years of paying for the premium subscription no, I still feel that I’m getting the most out of this app. Please, make it happen

Suggested foods to complete the target daily intake
A suggestion should be made when, for example, 82kcal is missing over the whole day of meals (in this case, 10gr of lipids), a choice should be offered which would correspond to what is missing in kcal (lipids for this example) => example => 10ml of olive oil = 82kcal.
We always wonder what we can add as healthy foods to reach the goal in kcal / day, so a food suggestion would be welcome :)6 votes -
Add dark mode for easy usability of the app at night times
I'm not sure about iOS but this app doesn't seem to support dark mode in Android and it's a bit of a nuisance at night when using the app

Add Nutri-Scores to Food
It would be great to add Nutri-Scores to food in addition to the scores given by Lifesum. It is nice to have the scores aligned with international standards that are present on more and more packaging these days.

Save custom quantities
I’d love the ability to store a specific quantity of a food item I’ve entered. For instance, if I always eat 1.5 cups of broccoli. And cups isn’t an option given when I look up broccoli, only grams (I’m sure there is, broccoli is just an example). So I figure out how many grams are in a cup of broccoli and enter it. Then a week later I want to eat another 1.5 cups of broccoli, I have to go back and find my previous entry and I often can’t remember which day. So I then have to calculate it again in grams. I LOVE this app, I lost 10 lbs using it in the first two weeks, however it’s quite time consuming to calculate partial quantities of things and convert them from metric to imperial or vice versa, and then no ability to save that info in order access it quickly when I eat that item again.

I would love a button to "find dinner ideas that fit your leftover calories and macronutrients for today".

Red meat allergen option
Some people can't eat pork for religious reasons, I can't eat red meat of any kind due to stomach sensitivities, but we can still eat chicken and fish. Makes finding recipes and finding diet plans difficult

Display more than 2 items per meal (without the need to press Show more)
I don’t think it makes sense to display only two tracked items per meal, and I have to click show more to see the rest. Most of my meals have 3 or 4 items and it always makes me doubt If the items have been tracked for not, until I realize there are more after I press the button. So, maybe it should show at least 4-5 items before disclosing them? There’s certainly a lot of space for a photo which could be reduced (at least when nothing is uploaded)

Make your own meal option
You should be able to create your own meal by adding things and then saving the meal under a name on your account.
Also you are able to select your "meal" and make moderations to it or select it as it is already saved.6 votes
