An contact/friend list would allow direct chat, ability to send recipes and meals directly to them, there they can add them to their own favorites.
Ability to comment on others meals, giving reccomendations or suggestions.
Ability to toggle public profile, public diary, make it private, show only to friends etc.
Groups/Communities could be diet-oriented, discuss certain acitivites or motivate users through sharing.
I believe it would fit into the app, through a simple and useful page accessed via a new interface button, maybe one with two people giving high fives. Also, I think that there should be Communities that are posted by LifeSum, for each of the dietary plans, so that it would be like a general place for those following, while groups themselves can be whatever they want (ex: Healthy Ice Cream Friends, Coffee Addicts, High Fat and Fast Runners etc.)

An error occurred while saving the comment Fredrik "Strongman" Johansson commentedIn the morning, and after the main meals (lunch, midday, before bed) a reminder/hint appears in the dairy, where it asks you how was your day (in terms of emotion, health-wise) you are shown emoticons reflecting a range from (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) where the lowest value is very bad, with a frowned/possible angry emoticon and the highest value being a green and laughing smiley face, the middle values are yellow ones.
The essential part of this feature, is that it tracks your mood, sends you hints of improving your fatique, tired or emotional state by adding more veggies or specific items suggestions. You could see a week/month stats graph, that allows you to find trends in your mood and maybe the cause.
Adding the ability to write a note when asked of mood, allowing you simply write "Tired from work" or "Feeling sickly", giving some context to your choices.
Asked in the morning and two other times per day, allowing more frequent mood checks, you could start out a day feeling dead in the water, but end the day on a high note, pulsing with good health.
An simply way of showing mood trends, would be to give an report after a week or month, showing which time of day you are feeling down/good and showing some of the notes and the ability to view full mood history.

Life Points are good indicator of what you are doing right or wrong, helping users to make small but important changes to habits. I would like them to have meal time gradings, allowing you to earn or lose points depending on specific graded foods you add.
Another thing, that would be awesome is some kind of system derived from the life points that allows rewards, so if you manage a good score for a month. LifeSum may offer partner discounts, of course, this must be a honor system because it's up to the user to be truthful about their habits and foods. I simply thought, that some kind of reward system with points would be a good way for people to have an aim, such as ordering an t-shirt for a small discount.
Not exactly an essential suggested feature, but something that other apps have done before.
